Gamba - Born March 6, 2008 "First his name is Gamba (lol). He is doing excellent! He is my baby
and he hates when I leave him! He is a good loving dog and my daughter
will lay on him and sit on him and he doesn't budge. Then when she is
sleeping on the couch or on my bed Gamba will lay his head on her and
sleep, so thats the best to see him bond with my child like that!!!!"
Dawn Marie Mays, Monroe, Virginia Abby - Born March 6, 2008 ![]() ![]()
"Hey! Abby is doing great.
At 6 months, she is right around 65 pounds; it's amazing how much she's
grown. She is really starting to resemble the build of Tripps. You should be proud
because even the trainer said she is one of the smartest shepherds (and
just dogs, for that matter) she's ever worked with."
I can't believe its already been a year....Abby is 95 pounds, and doing great...I attached a few pictures: one from the day it snowed in new orleans, another with her and my parents' dachshund (who bosses abby around), and one from her checking out the shower. The vet actually said she is the prettiest Shepherd he’s seen. She pretty much has no fat too. I know the picture makes her look like a couch potato, but she’s extremely active. Most of that 95 pounds has to be muscle. My girlfriend has a golden retriever, and all that her and Abby do all day is wrestle. And it’s scary how well she understands English now... General Stix - Born March 6, 2008
"Hey,
I saw you sent me a letter. Sorry I didnt get back to you sooner. This is our update....He is in his third month of training. We just got our official service gear. Stix loves to work. He will not go outside without his service harness! He threw it at me yesterday and grunted at me just to say its time to work. He has learned how to catch Brandon when he runs away. He will run to him as if he is mad. Then he runs a circle around him. Then he tugs a corner of his shirt and brings him to me. He loves to bring brandon back! He has also learned how to stop Brandon from having a autism fit. He has mastered opening a door. Brandon is teaching him how to do laundry. We are in our second obedience class. He is doing great. He is the teachers pet. He loves the attention. It is simply amazing how much he has changed our lives. It is just a miracle. Stix is so smart he is learning very fast. The police department says he is a beauty. I gave them your web address to look for dogs to train....I have recently learned he is the only service dog in this state! At least for eight months. They have one going to Nachez in eight months. The training is so easy for us we are always practicing." "Hi! Stix had a great birthday! He has been doing so great. The vet has been very pleased with his health and training. Brandon has been so happy just to have him here. Law enforcement here on the coast met Stix and just loves watching him training. We went to the DMV recently and stix was able to meet highway patrol officers. There was an incident there and stix just wanted to help the officers. The officers say Stix can now come to visit or they will babysit anytime! It was really amazing to see stix want to help not just us but all the people there. we used an obedience trainer that does the k9 dogs so his obedience is very good now. he has a 98 % accuracy rate. He has become territorial about strangers and the kids. The vet likes that, he has been spending alot of time with the vet for training. Brandon wants you to know that he taught Stix how to open the door with a pull devise and he says Stix is just so smart! Oh, He did get neutered I wasnt sure if i let you know. All and all things are great. I will send you some pictures soon. Talk to you soon! Dominique Deverau" Dominique, Brandon, and Mike Deverau, Biloxi, Mississippi Adolph - Born March 15, 2009 ![]() 3 Months 5Weeks 3Months ![]() ![]() ![]() Adolph at 6 Months "Good morning Miss Ophelia, Steph's team is now the Babe Ruth League 10U Midwest Regional Champs. At all of the softball functions though a lady k9 officer was amazed with Adolph. He has not be to any training yet and she could not get over his behavior and cognitive ability. She requested that I have him train for search and rescue and gave me contact information because he is much smarter than alot of the dogs brought for it. And she told me I don't need to have any obedience training that I am doing better than most trainers. Sincerely, Becky" "Hello Ophelia, Added some pictures of Adolph today. He is doing super at his obedience training!!! His trainer Kelly is wanting her and I to work with each others dogs together and enter them into AKC events. She has a female doberman that Adolph thinks is "special". We are both going to go together with the dogs and be evaluated for the search and rescue. My little man is 76 pounds today (6 months old) also. Adolph is so funny because he either herds Scooter (an 8-Month Old Pug) away form "no nos" or he just smacks him over and lays/sits on top of him. He is such a truly good dog, and so smart. That's the news for now. Sincerely, Becky" Rebecca Murr, Bonne Terre, MO Denali - Born March 15, 2009 "Hi Ms Ophelia, I have started this email several times but get distracted and never seem to finish it. Here is the update on the puppy whom we have named Denali. She is very happy and healthy. A total surprise to us and a wonderful miracle. She is such a relaxed puppy and has been doing wonderfully with training. The kids absolutely adore her. She has a favorite toy lovingly nicknamed chicken but really its a wood duck toy that makes real sounds and she enjoys fetching it. We are still working on her potty training but she has gotten so much better in the last few weeks. She sleeps with my husband and I; she prefers to be right between us which is actually kind of funny. We have taken her to the vet twice and the people working there gush constantly over how beautiful she is and how well behaved. We have been using techniques from training videos by Cesar (the dog whisperer) and they have worked beautifully. She fits into our family like the missing piece of our puzzle. She is an absolutely gorgeous dog and we are all crazy about her. For now here are some photos of her from a visit back in May (two months) to Grandma's. Thank you so much for making it possible to ad Denali to our little family. We couldn't have gotten a better dog; she is exactly what we needed and the beauty of it is she chose us! Thanks again so much! Will send more pictures soon! The Hamilton Family"

I love the ending on this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upnQt8-SuvM Oh my gosh...I have thought of you many times. I check your site every now and then. Did you ever get and watch the videos of Gracie? Gracie is doing great. She will be six months next week. She has gone from the seventeen pounds when I picked her up from you to 65 pounds now! She is her mothers daughter. She is drop dead gorgeous. Every time I have her out or take her to the Vet.everyone comments on how good looking she is AND...she knows it....she will sit at the fence when people walk by or when the neighbors are out just begging to be petted. Her tails a wagging..when they finally pet her..she if off in a second...its like...Hey..glad you got to pet me. She does it all the time!. She is sassy too..full of attitude. Here are some pictures that I just took yesterday. Let me know what you think!!
Of course we are happy. She is very feisty, we were so use to Jake
being so mellow...kind of like Eeyore...lol.. but after almost 11 years
of him we only remember the last slow years... It nice to see her run
like a bullet around the yard. She is very smart. She knows how to sit,
speak, lay down, shake. She knows what no, bone, and outside, and go
for a walk means. Ill open the door to go upstairs, I tell her to wake
up Sara...and up she goes. The latest is Sara taught her how to sit
pretty...can you imagine a big GS sitting pretty? Well she does. I hope
your satellite is up soon...her videos are really cute, and mama shasta
is in it. I see Shasta is going to be a mommy again...cant wait to see
what she has this time. Sara asked Garcie if she wanted a sister..ha
ha...
Have to say that My MISSISSIPPI Gracie loves her home inside the house
too. She loves the air conditioning...she says forget that hot
stuff...Ill just stay in. She loves water too. any way...just let me
know if you need some more pictures. I can send you some and you can
use what you want...thanks again...SheilaHi Ophelia...I just checked out you web site, and was looking at Shasta's past puppy page. How do we get Gracie on there. Ive got to show her off...thanks..Sheila |
